TheKnot.com Dream Wedding

Julie's boyfriend Andrew was one of the groomsmen at theknot.com Dream Wedding of the year...check out pics from the wedding in North Carolina!

  •
Rebekah Gregory and Peter DiMartino have been through a lot this past year. Victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing, theknot.com heard their story and decided to help give them the wedding of their dreams. My boyfriend Andrew grew up with Pete in Webster, and was one of the groomsmen. Check out all the pics of our amazing weekend.
  •
First stop, Waffle House! Somewhere in Tennessee, we decided to stop for some fuel before finishing our drive to North Carolina.
  •
"Waffle House Coffee"...is nothing to write home about.
  •
HOWEVER, the waffles are DELICIOUS. Best waffle I've ever eaten.
  •
These next few pics don't do the mountains ANY justice, but they were beautiful.
  •
Taking the scenic route on the way there was totally worth it!
  •
The cloud resting on the mountains were awesome.
  •
    Lovely!
  •
We're almost there!! Asheville, here we come!
  •
We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard, which was pretty nice.
  •
I know it's weird. I love hotel bathrooms.
  •
Especially this one. Very clean, and well decorated!
  •
While the guys went to get their tuxes, Kristie & I (that's Andrew's future sister-in-law) went for a drink at the hotel bar!
  •
And then we all relaxed on the back patio with a few beers.
  •
Rehearsal time! The wedding was at the Biltmore Estate, which was HUGE. And beautiful. It took us about 20 minutes to get through the estate to the house.
  •
This is right next to where the ceremony would take place.
  •
It was kinda windy, but we enjoyed walking around the estate.
  •
    Side view of the castle.
  •
    The property was HUGE.
  •
I can't imagine how beautiful this place is in the Fall.
  •
First glimpse of the bride & groom. Peter saw me, but I was kinda far away.
  •
That's better! Future Mr. & Mrs. DiMartino.
  •
This is the view of the Biltmore House from where the ceremony took place.
  •
The Best Man, Mark, walked Peter down the aisle.
  •
    Here comes my man!
  •
The groomsmen waiting to see the bride walk down the aisle!
  •
The flower girls were SO CUTE!
  •
Noah, Rebekah's son, will be walking down the aisle with her and her father on the big day!
  •
    The maids!
  •
    HERE COMES THE BRIDE!
  •
Rebekah, who is going to be losing her foot in a few months, wanted to walk down the aisle at her wedding. During the ceremony, she won't use her crutches.
  •
The dinner after the rehearsal was at a brew pub called Lab.
  •
    All their beer was amazing!
  •
Andrew & I enjoying the dinner...it was yummy!
  •
Among other things, we had sliders for dinner. Delish!
  •
The first of MANY flower arrangements of the weekend.
  •
I woke up to this pic of the groomsmen getting ready on Friday morning. Whiskey was involved.
  •
Arriving on the grounds Friday morning...
  •
    More beautiful flowers!
  •
They put up a tent juuust in case it rained...and it's a good thing they did, because it rained for about 10 minutes during the ceremony.
  •
Paige, who we drove down with, standing by some weird fish fountain while we waited to see our guys.
  •
Pretty nice looking couple, right? :)
  •
The band, or orchestra rather...involved a harp. It was beautiful!
  •
This is the tree all the bridesmaids stood under before walking down the aisle!
  •
Where the vows were to be exchanged...
  •
Loved this!! Rose petal carpet down the aisle
  •
    So many flowers!
  •
    Here's the program...
  •
    Here comes the groom!
  •
The minister, Pete and his best man...and Pete's mom Mona in the corner!
  •
    Handsome guy, isn't he?
  •
    Flower girls!
  •
The bridesmaids all had a tough time holding it together, but they did a great job!
  •
Rebekah's father, along with Noah, helping her down the aisle
  •
    About to give her away...
  •
Almost time to say "I do!"
  •
I THINK this was Rebekah's cousin...she sand "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri before they exchanged vows.
  •
    Noah looks very excited.
  •
Exchanging vows...there wasn't really a dry eye in the house at this point.
  •
You may now kiss the bride!!
  •
    What a beautiful couple!
  •
    Truly their Dream Wedding.
  •
    Mr. & Mrs. DiMartino!
  •
Andrew & his partner...I'm pretty sure this was one of Rebekah's sisters.
  •
The dance floor! Couldn't wait to make use of this (and make use of it WE DID).
  •
There were MORE flowers on the tables
  •
    The cake...elegant and FABulous.
  •
    Our table...
  •
Wait til you see the menu. It was so good!
  •
Introducing the wedding party...there's Andrew again!
  •
    And the happy couple!
  •
I know it wasn't easy for her, but Rebakah walked down the aisle AND walked into the reception. She's a trooper!!
  •
    First dance!
  •
Lee Brice recorded a video message to Pete & Rebekah, and then dedicated his song "I Don't Dance" to them as their song.
  •
Pete & Rebekah making everyone cry with their thank you's.
  •
Even though they were telling us how much WE meant to THEM, it was truly an honor to be part of their special day.
  •
Rebekah had a special groom's cake made for Pete, because of his love for the Red Sox.
  •
    Boston Forever!
  •
    Cutting the cake...
  •
  •
    YUM! Dinner was so good!

  •
Our beautiful view of the Biltmore house from the reception...
  •
Getting ready to toss the bouquet...
  •
    Here it comes!
  •
Kristie was the lucky girl who caught it...though she's already getting married!
  •
I missed getting a pic of the garter toss because I was so busy yelling at Andrew to catch it...but here's the lucky guy putting it on Kristie
  •
    Me with the beautiful bride!
  •
    The band was AWESOME!
  •
The band played the Shout Song last, and hoisted Rebekah in the air!
  •
Possibly the only picture of Andrew & I dancing that had BOTH of us in focus...
  •
The wait staff stole my programs, so I snuck a pic of the list of participants in the wedding, so Andrew could see his name in the program!
  •
After the reception, the after party was at a bar on the estate called Cedric's.
  •
Cedric was the dog of the owner of the property (a Vanderbilt).
  •
Walking into Cedric's, there was another live band playing.
  •
    Cedric's collar.
  •
    Lots of booze!
  •
    Andrew's flight at Cedric's
  •
We snuck a picture on the patio. Sleepy or drunk? Maybe both.
  •
Halfway through the after party, someone delivered these socks to the groomsmen to take pics for...who knows??
  •
I think these were green apple something...and whiskey. I know the small one is whiskey.
  •
Cedric's had THE BEST BURGERS I'VE EVER TASTED.
  •
    Cab's here!
  •
They arrived to the rooms late, but better late than never!!
  •
What an amazing celebration of two wonderful people!
  •
Next morning, getting some fuel for the road!
  •
Yummm. This place was AMAZING! I would weigh 58043 pounds if I ate here on a regular basis.
  •
More food! Had to stop for some Chick-fil-A before heading North!
  •
Gas stop. Bathroom break. Guy dressed like a pizza.
