Rochester, NY -- The shoplifting suspect who was shot by a Monroe County deputy during a January chase in Pittsford has been formally arraigned on nine charges.
13 WHAM reports Vincenzo Zagari of Spencerport pleaded not guilty Friday morning.
Prosecutors say the chase came at the end of a daylong crime spree across the county. He faces charges involving a stolen car, the theft of property from the Pittsford Wegmans, an alleged carjacking in the Pittsford Plaza and the encounter with Deputy Bridget Davis.
He waved to family members during his court appearance. Several sheriff's deputies were also on hand.
