Rochester, NY -- State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (pictured) has filed criminal charges against 10 employees of the Blossom North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following an investigation into their treatment of a nursing home resident who has since died.
The victim was a double amputee who also suffered from partial upper body paralysis and other ailments. His son became suspicious that his father was being mistreated. Authorities say a hidden camera caught the suspects neglecting their duties to the man, and the suspects allegedly falsified documents to cover up the neglect.
The six nurses and four nursing assistants will be arraigned Friday. One other nurse is expected to face similar charges.
