Man Arrested after Geneva Stabbing, Standoff

Geneva, NY -- A New York City man is in custody after a stabbing and five hour standoff in Geneva.

The attack happened during an argument late last night at an apartment on Pulteney Street. Christopher Evans, 38, was stabbed multiple times in the neck and throat and is in critical condition.

Police say the suspect, Fabian Jenkins, 38, barricaded himself in another apartment in the same building and refused to surrender. The Ontario County Sheriff's Emergency Response Team took him into custody around 3:20 a.m.

He's charged with Assault.
