Rochester, NY -- The Hickey Freeman Tailored Clothing factory in Rochester will be making suits and sport jackets for the Dillard's Department Store chain.
Senator Schumer says the deal is another win for the local workers. Along with a recent deal with Ralph Lauren, Schumer says work volume at the Rochester factory is expected to increase by 10-15 percent and create up to 50 new jobs. The Dillard's suits have been made, up until now, in Italy.
Dillard's has stores across the south and western states and sells merchandise online, too.
