Henrietta Supervisor Announces Opposition to Casino

Henrietta, NY -- Henrietta Town Supervisor Jack Moore has come out against a possible casino in town.

He says he will introduce a resolution at the March 19th board meeting expressing the board's opposition and urging state and federal officials to deny permission for casino gaming in Henrietta.
Moore says in a statement that it is his responsibility to represent the views of the residents. And he says upon evaluating the opinions of town residents,"Now is the time to take a position."

Just this past Monday, the Seneca Nation announced it had purchased 32 acres in town for a casino and would begin a dialogue with the community about it.
